OUR CHRISTMAS

There’s something rather special about Christmas at The Waterman’s Arms. A roaring fire, good food, glasses being raised, and time around the table with the people who matter.

From mid-November, we’ll be serving our festive Christmas Menu here at our beautiful riverside inn at Bow Bridge, near Totnes. Our chefs have created a seasonal menu filled with proper Christmas favourites alongside a few lovely twists, using the quality produce and thoughtful cooking we’re known for. 

Choose from dishes including roast sweet potato and butternut squash soup, treacle-cured salmon and wild boar terrine, followed by festive mains such as turkey ballotine, sirloin of beef, mushroom, brie & cranberry Wellington, Cassie’s Christmas nut roast, and pan-fried Brixham hake.

And, of course, there’s pudding — Christmas pudding with brandy sauce, burnt orange cheesecake or Black Forest sabayon.

Our Christmas Menu will be available from mid-November and must be pre-ordered in advance. Whether it’s a Christmas catch-up with friends, a family gathering, your work Christmas meal or simply an excuse to linger around a table together, we’d love to welcome you.

CHRISTMAS DINNER AT HOME

Prefer Christmas at home without spending half the day in the kitchen?

We’re also offering our Heat at Home Christmas Dinners this year. Simply place your order in advance and collect from The Waterman’s Arms on Christmas Eve. Everything will be prepared for you, with simple heating and finishing instructions included, so you can enjoy a proper Christmas dinner at home with far less fuss.
